~ Street Dance ~

asSalamu'alaikum...

Ok, dh lama aku x brblogging. Last post pown time world cup. Itu pown xdak mood nk blogging. Coz dok kt rumah. Xdak tenet.

Tarian Jalanan. Tajuk crita ni klu translate. So aku bajet ala2 muzikal movie. Aku p tengok sorg2. Malas nk ajak sapa2. Coz i thought aku sorg ja yg nk tengok. Tengok kt alamanda lew. Hari rabu.

Sinopsis: (aku malas nk translate...)
Carly (Nichola Burley) and her Streetdance crew loses their leader and also discover they have nowhere to rehearse. With time running out, Carly must win the respect of her dancing troupe and find a suitable place to train for the final of the UK Street Dance Competition. While delivering sandwiches to a local ballet school, a glimmer of hope comes to Carly in the guise of the ballet schoolmistress, Helena (Charlotte Rampling). She offers Carly the use of the school's facilities provided Carly agrees to instill some of the Streetdance intensity and passion into her lacklustre and classically trained ballet students. The result is a glorious clash of cultures, egos and temperaments.

Review: (from org cinema online nya, coz aku malas nk review)
Street dance group leader Jay (Ukweli Roach) bails out unexpectedly on his team and girlfriend Carly (Nichola Burley), who then takes over the responsibility in shaping up the gang in time for UK Street Dance Competition, facing rival crew The Surge (Flawless). Lacking financially, they try to raise money for a room to rehearse or practice in other locations. Eventually, they secure a space in a ballet school, on the condition that they include five ballet dancers in their routine, in a bid to kick in some life into these "bendy chicks" (and men). By then, scenes of "street dance rules, ballet drools" was too eminent to handle. After numerous amusing attempts at getting these stiff ballet performers to act street-like, they finally realise to mesh up both their worlds to deliver their best.

No doubt for the finale, it was a fresh choreography in the beginning, but this reviewer would hardly say it turned out for the better as it was slightly more theatrical than what it should've been - pure rough it out, street dance (they don't call it Street Dance Competition for nothing). Trying to showcase 'out of the box' routines for the competition didn't quite cut it. Moreover, the ending felt too rushed with on-cue, forced smooching from a few characters. Interestingly enough, it left an open ended conclusion. Who will win? This reviewer's hopes for The Surge.

The love triangle between Carly, Jay and handsome ballet dancer Tomas (Richard Winsor) was groan-worthy throughout, while the cinematography sometimes struggles to capture the performances adequately and suffers from over edited, slow-mo scenes.

However, sinopsis dgn review mmg aku copy paste from cinema online pny page (sila klik utk maklumat lanjut)

Xtuly i like this movie so much. Coz bnyk pengajaran berguna yg ble diaplikasikan dlm kehidupan. Lbh2 lg dlm d.o.t. The word that i 1 2 share yg dipetik dr movie ni "klu nk berjaya kena guna cara yg berbeza drpd org yg slalu guna" (after translate la...).

Lastly, aku mmg recommend hgpa tengok. Either nk tengok wayang atau donlod, atau pa cara sekalipown. Itu terpulang...

p/s: sapa ada donlod crita ni? aku nk bwt koleksi yg ble diulang tyg...
